TrainToWork Process

TrainToWork, a Human Capital Academy Program, matches the human capital needs of expanding employers (demand) with the available source of displaced workers (supply).  Following a specific methodology and using specially designed tools, the TrainToWork Program is the innovative and effective answer to re-skilling and re-employing recently displaced workers.

The foundation of the TrainToWork program rests on the participation of the Demand Driven Community Partnership.  This Community consists of various entities that share a common goal to improve and advance local economic and workforce development.

The three key pieces to delivering a successful TrainToWork program include the Expanding Employer Partners, Academic Partners and Workforce Investment System Partners.  The Expanding Employer Partners are involved every step of the way in the job-specific training program design and development process. The Academic Partners incorporate the Human Capital Academy into their existing business and industry training programs/curriculum and provide convenient, state-of-the-art facilities to deliver the training. The Funding Agency Partners identify the eligible displaced workforce and fund training that result in jobs.
